The Bub in the Belly

Hi everyone,

Just a note to let you know that we are away in Malaysia! We've been here for a week now, since last Friday, and we'll be back in Singapore on Monday. We're here because of Chinese New Year, of course, and it's been a blur of eating, eating, catching up with family and friends, mahjong, card games, eating, and, have I mentioned eating already? yes eating. Ryan has been surrounded with nothing but love, love and more love.

I have lots to update, but that will have to wait till we get back next week. We still have lots of eating to do, family and friends to catch up with, mahjong/card games to play, and, have I mentioned eating already? yes, lots more of that!

If you celebrate Chinese New Year, I hope it's been a fantastic one so far and that it only gets better! If you don't, here's sending you some Chinese New Year wishes anyway! May the year of the water Dragon bring good health, harmony and prosperity all round!

After posting nearly every day for the past two months, it's time for a short break. I plan to spend some time pursuing a few small projects, so I'm going to take a week's break from this blog to do that. I've not been producing much "output" ever since I stopped making costumes for Ryan (see here, here, here, here and here) and ever since I finished the quiet book. All the inspirational "input" is building up in my head and needs to get out!

I also need some time to beef up our home practice materials and write up some more notes on Shichida for the blog (those notes take days to write!). I'll share some of the materials when I get back.

So don't go too far away! I'll be back real soon.

To all of you lovelies who get our blog feed, my apologies for the repeat postings this morning. After I posted last night, I had a few more thoughts which I wanted to include, so I did a heavy edit this morning on last night's post, which became so unwieldy that I split it in two. Anyway, hope you enjoy reading (or re-reading) both posts!

Also, lately I have been receiving a lot more emails from you lovelies - can I just say that I LOVE getting your emails, thank you! They always put a happy smile on my face! Do feel free to ask me about anything under the sun, I'll answer you as best I can!

Specifically, I am thinking of sharing a little bit more about our Shichida home practice - would you like that? I know many parents try to research the Shichida Method online and there really isn't a lot of stuff around. Ryan has been on the Shichida Method since he was about 8 months old and we are very happy with it, so I'd be happy to share our experience with anyone who is interested in the method.
