I mentioned, at the start of the year, that we have big plans this year - we have a vision of where we want our family to end up at year end. The first half of the year was spent on planning and getting things in place. I don't want to go into boring detail now; for now, it suffices to say that we are on track and we are excited at what's ahead. The stage is set for possibilities, new opportunities and for dedicating more of our time to things that matter to us.
Yesterday, I let go of something significant, something that has been part of my identity for a very long time. It was a big part of my life, yet it didn't fit into our grand plans. So I let it go.
Indeed, getting to this halfway point has been just as much about letting go as it has been about putting new things in place. I've let go of things, of stuff, of mindsets, of old methods, and of attachments that were no longer meaningful. It's an ongoing process and we're not done - it's a perpetual audit and edit, a constant re-evaluation of what works and what doesn't - but we are at a good place now. We're ready to move on, we're ready for the next step.
And so, forward we go.
