We have been taking rather long trips to KL so this recent trip was very short in comparison. We arrived on Thursday night and left on Sunday after lunch. The highlight of the trip was babydoll's birthday celebration. Apart from that, we did just the basics - eating, swimming, meeting up with the folks and running some errands.
Here they were, in the pool.
Babydoll getting attacked by her uncle here. As you can see, she wasn't intimidated at all. Laughing all the way, she fought back and paddled against the splashing water until she was right up at her uncle at the poolside. Her uncle had to admit defeat as babydoll got near him otherwise he would have gotten his clothes wet from her splashing water right back at him. That's babydoll for you. Bring it on!
The two-fingered peace sign made its appearance many times.
Sometimes babydoll gives us the Playboy version. Other times she puts three fingers up, like an OK sign. Ah, variety is the spice of life.
There were lots of bonding moments with the family.
Ryan spent Friday evening out with his Aunty Margaret and his cousins - they attended the annual Literature school concert at Jerica's school. They concluded the night with a trip to good old A&W. Richard and I managed to meet up with Terri for a good catch-up while Ryan was out and while my mom babysat babydoll at home.
We ate our favourites - nasi lemak, maggi goreng, bak kut teh, Penang food... yums.
We don't keep many toys in our KL home, so lots of improvisation is necessary to keep things interesting. Heh heh.
Ryan finished constructing his Lego train set and babydoll became quite the expert at the controls. She put Elmo in it for a spin!
It was really nice to see the two littles playing well together. Here, they were laughing because babydoll's shoes were on the wrong feet.
And, of course, there was the birthday lunch at Strato at Troika Skydining, which I wrote about a couple of days ago.
