Larger than life

Once in a while, I have to work on a weekend or I have to attend a corporate function after work on a weekday. On these occasions, Richard has to take care of Ryan by himself, which he does very well.

Last Thursday after work, I attended the SSA 25th anniversary gala dinner at the Marina Bay Sands. Despite there being nearly 200 tables and nearly 2000 guests, the food and the service were good and I had a good time. The dinner ended at nearly 11 pm and I wondered how Richard was getting along at home with Ryan.

When I got home, I found this on our living room wall.

While I was at the dinner, Richard had enlarged a photo of Ryan, printed it on our home printer and put it up on our wall! It's almost floor to ceiling!

This photo of Ryan was taken a few months ago, when I was at work on a Saturday and Richard was babysitting solo. His strategy was to provide Ryan with a variety of activities to keep him entertained, one of which was riding up and down our street in Ryan's little red car. Unfortunately, Richard ran out of activities and had to repeat the car ride. This photo was taken on the repeat ride and you can see that Ryan was not so enthusiastic about it!

Anyway, the larger than life poster is still on the wall. I think we'll keep it there for a while.
