The Bub in the Belly

This year, I'm wishing myself a Happy Mother's Day.

Because, although I don't always achieve everything on my list, I sure try my best.
Because, although my house is messy, I always have a ready stock of hugs and kisses.
Because I love munching on my children's toes and smelling their heads.
Because I have learned a lot as a mother and the more I learn, the more I realise how much I don't know.
Because I keep on learning, purposefully and meaningfully.
Because I know that my children are better teachers to me than I will ever be to them.
Because being a mother has made me a much better version of myself.
Because, although I'm not perfect, I'm a pretty damn good mother.

Just like every other mother out there.
