Oh well, no matter what he grows up to be, he'll always be mummy's boy.

To celebrate Richard's first ever Father's Day, we tried out two new restaurants. The food was great at both.

For lunch, we went to Guan Hoe Soon Peranakan Restaurant.

For dinner, we went for teppanyaki at Hilltop Restaurant on Jurong Hill.


It felt good to make the effort to do something special for ourselves. It was a good reminder that we are not only parents, we are also husband and wife, and individual persons as well, and so we need to make time and effort to nurture and not neglect those other aspects.

We attended a gathering of about 30 SMH mummies with their Dec/Jan babies today. It was great fun to see so many babies around Ryan’s age in the same room. There isn’t much interaction among the babies at this stage but it’s nice to think that they could be good friends when they are older.

Jimmy and Margaret drove down to Singapore with their family and Richard's parents. They did a bit of shopping and then Jimmy took their family to stay at Sentosa Island for the weekend, while Richard's parents stayed with us. It was good to see everyone, especially Jimmy whom we don't get to see very much. Hopefully we will get to see him and the rest of the family more often.

I met up with Sheri and Jousy today and brought Ryan with me. As always, it was good to catch up and share with each other what we've been up to.
