Some sweetness for the weekend

We've had a good week - lots of happy times, interesting experiences and quiet conversations. I'll try to get some of those moments recorded on the blog, hopefully! Ironically when life is full to the brim and there's so much I want to record and remember, that's exactly when I have a lot less time to devote to blogging.

Babydoll had a great time yesterday morning - she went to Tanjong Beach in Sentosa with her nanny's family. I'm told that she swam in the sea, picked seashells, tried to catch some fish, played with the sand and had a rip-roaring good time. Although it's not her first time at the beach, it was her first time swimming (quite far out) in the sea. One of her nanny's daughters, Caroline, is a children's swim instructor so babydoll was in good hands and, according to Caroline, babydoll was absolutely fearless. That sounds exactly right.

Ryan had a busy week - he had three auditions! Hopefully, he will secure at least one, eh? This afternoon, he is going out with Caroline for some playground fun at Changi airport plus some swimming. Over the past couple of weeks, he has been having some playdates with some friends from school and there's another one coming up next week. It would be safe to say that he's very happy, haha.

In these photos, babydoll is modelling the latest dress I made for her. I used a pattern called Debbie's Birthday Dress from Sewpony. You might remember this colourful fabric from these shorts that I made last year and yes, I still have some more of this fabric left! The back of the dress and the collar is a dark blue pinwale corduroy, which is also from my stash - I used it for these pants that I made for Ryan in December last year.

Babydoll is doing a good job with the modelling, huh? I wish I'd taken better photos in better light! Here's one more - little miss stylo milo showing off her killer stare! I keep looking at this shot and thinking - this is a two year old?!!

Are we done with the photoshoot, mummy? Let's start the weekend - yahoo!

Very sweet pictures.

Would you be able to write on two topics namely:-

1. HFMD and how responsible parents should be if their children are in nursery or childcare

2. Share on whether you have ever raised your voice on/yelled at your children?

Hi leona, babydoll is such a natural model. The way her hair is bun up gives her the glam look! You have a pair of beautiful kids. :)

Hi Anonymous, we've been fortunate enough never to have had HFMD in our house. All I can say is that there are health and hygiene practices adopted by preschools so if all parents adhered to those, then any HFMD contagion should be minimised.
As for yelling, no, neither my hubby nor I yell at our children. They can hear us pretty well, haha. ;)
