Jacob Ballas Children's Garden

Last Sunday, we visited the Jacob Ballas Children's Garden at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.  We went there in the middle of the day when the sun was at its highest but that didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves.  Ryan got to touch and smell lots of plants and herbs, flowers and fruits and explore the many play structures there, including a suspension bridge, a treehouse and his favourite - a water play area.

On the suspension bridge
One of the little things (actually not so little mushrooms) that make it fun for the children
Frangipani trees casting fantastic shadow patterns on the ground
We saved the best part for last - the water play area! Ryan absolutely loved it! We let him loose without any clothes on and he didn't give a hoot. He couldn't get enough of the fountains and he danced and pranced about in the sprays, squealing and laughing under the hot noon sun. It was the highlight of the outing for him.
